- I can't for the life of me figure out where I saw this, so I may have imagined
- it, but I thought the situation with AOL was that at one level they made a huge
- profit. That is, they turned a large profit, but did some heavy investing or
- expanding, so that it turned out as a huge net loss.
-
- Like I said, though, I may have just dreamed all this.

- You might not want to do this. As I'm sure you know, that magnetic media
- is the cheapest possible, and from what I hear are extremely unreliable for
- holding data; there has been a recent thread on a local newsgroup on just this
- issue.
-
- I'm a little bummed, since I've been stockpiling them for some time now to use
- with my FD2000. My "AOL-Coaster" collection contains a black HD disk with
- a largely purple label, a white HD disk with a yellow label, three Prodigy
- disks which my roommate got on the airplane when he went home (!), and
- a RARE low-density AOL v2.01 disk for Macintosh. ;)
