  23. I can't for the life of me figure out where I saw this, so I may have imagined
  24. it, but I thought the situation with AOL was that at one level they made a huge
  25. profit.  That is, they turned a large profit, but did some heavy investing or
  26. expanding, so that it turned out as a huge net loss.

  33. You might not want to do this.  As I'm sure you know, that magnetic media
  34. is the cheapest possible, and from what I hear are extremely unreliable for
  35. holding data; there has been a recent thread on a local newsgroup on just this
  36. issue.

  38. I'm a little bummed, since I've been stockpiling them for some time now to use
  39. with my FD2000.  My "AOL-Coaster" collection contains a black HD disk with
  40. a largely purple label, a white HD disk with a yellow label, three Prodigy
  41. disks which my roommate got on the airplane when he went home (!), and
  42. a RARE low-density AOL v2.01 disk for Macintosh. ;)
